This comprehensive, self-paced, online FASD training course is specifically designed for teachers and other school personnel such as Special Education Staff, Teacher Aides, Guidance Officers and other school staff. 
 
In this training, you will learn the essential facts about FASD and, most importantly, how you can better support students with FASD in the classroom with practical tips and strategies. 
 
This training is based on the books "Explained by Brain: A Workbook for Parents, Carers and Educators who have tried everything or don't know where to start" and "Mind the Gaps" by Dr Vanessa Spiller, as well as current national and international research.
 
Training is broken into 3 parts so you can learn at your own pace with videos, readings and external links. Assess your learning and consolidate your knowledge through completing quizzes.

How common is it?
What FASD looks like in the classroom
How FASD is assessed and diagnosed
The role teaching professionals can play
Understanding "behaviour symptoms" and why these occur
 How ability mapping can be used to identify gaps and areas for support and accommodations
